Rockford Public Schools is requesting bids from licensed asbestos abatement contractors for the RPS Freshmen Center Asbestos Abatement Project. Rockford Public Schools hired Northern Analytical Services, LLC to perform a NESHAP asbestos survey, prepare the written asbestos abatement project design, provide asbestos project monitoring, and conduct clearance testing in accordance with AHERA requirements. The scope of abatement includes removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic, thermal system insulation, and pipe flange gaskets from the affected work areas. This project supports safe school renovation planning, asbestos removal, hazardous building materials management, environmental compliance, and protection of occupants within a public school facility.
