Cedar Springs Public Schools is requesting bids from licensed asbestos abatement contractors for asbestos removal and hazardous building materials work at the Former Hilltop Elementary School Building. Northern Analytical Services, LLC has performed a pre-demolition asbestos survey and asbestos-containing materials assessment of the building and has prepared a written asbestos abatement project design. The scope of work includes removal and proper disposal of all asbestos-containing materials identified in the asbestos survey report, as well as interior destructive testing to expose concealed wall cavities, ceiling spaces, chases, and other hidden areas where unknown or assumed asbestos-containing materials may be located. This asbestos abatement project is intended to support demolition planning, environmental compliance, and safe management of regulated building materials at the former school building.
