Alma Public Schools is requesting bids from licensed asbestos abatement contractors for the Alma Public Schools Asbestos Abatement Project in Alma, Michigan. The project includes limited asbestos removal at Alma High School, Pine Elementary School, and Hillcrest Elementary School in preparation for a limited-scope renovation project. The scope of work includes removal and proper disposal of select asbestos-containing materials, including asbestos-containing flooring, plaster wall materials, and thermal system insulation. Northern Analytical Services, LLC has completed an asbestos building survey and prepared a written asbestos abatement project design to identify the regulated materials and define the required abatement procedures. NAS will also provide asbestos project monitoring during the work. This project supports safe renovation planning, asbestos removal, hazardous building materials management, school facility maintenance, and regulatory compliance within public school buildings.
